Can I participate in a Cloudera web delivered exam from any location?
Yes, you may participate in a live, web delivered exam from anywhere that is convenient, as long as your computer and Internet connection meet minimum requirements.

How do I know my computer will meet the minimum requirements?
You can visit the PSI compatibility check tool at the following URL:

Do I need to install any specific software to participate in the exam?
No software installations will be required. As mentioned above, all you will need is a stable broadband internet connection, a chrome or chromium web browser, webcam and microphone.

How do I schedule an exam?
The initial exam payment process will occur on Cloudera’s website. Therefore, before you can schedule an exam, you will first need to register at cloudera.com and purchase your exam. Thereafter, in order to redeem the purchased exam eligibility and to register for an exam, you will need to create an account at www.examslocal.com using the same email that was used for the initial purchase at cloudera.com.

Once you arrive at www.examslocal.com, you will have the ability to select the exam by typing a keyword (i.e. Cloudera or “exam name”) in the “Search Here”box. At this point you can either continue to the scheduling process or Sign in. If you opt to schedule the exam, then the system will automatically recognize if you are eligible and will allow you to move forward.

You will then be able to select a preferred date and time for your exam, complete a compatibility check, and to agree to terms and conditions in order to schedule your exam. Please note that exams require a 24-hour lead time to schedule; the earliest date you will be able to select for your exam reservation will be the next business day. The time of your exam based on the timezone that is set on your web browser.

How can I retrieve a forgotten password?
To retrieve a forgotten password please visit: https://www.examslocal.com/Account/LostPassword

Once you’ve reset your password you can sign in via: www.examslocal.com then click Sign In.

What can I do if www.examslocal.com is saying I am not eligible for the exam?
Please verify that you have registered and paid for the exam at www.cloudera.com.

How do I reschedule or cancel an Exam Reservation?
If you would like to cancel/reschedule or launch your exam you will need to enter your Cloudera credentials (username/password). In order to do so please:

Visit www.examslocal.com
Click Sign In and enter login credentials
Click My Exams and click on the cancel or reschedule button

What is the cancellation policy for my scheduled exam?
Exams must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours before the scheduled exam time. Failing to cancel or reschedule within this time period will result in forfeiture of exam fees, and your exam credit/eligibility will be considered used.

Can I request a refund from Cloudera for an exam registration?

What will happen if I do not show up for my exam?
By not showing up to your exam reservation on time, you will be marked as a no-show for the exam. No-shows forfeit the money paid for an exam, and no rescheduling is allowed for the exam.

If I do not show up to my exam, how soon would I be allowed to schedule it again?
You may schedule immediately, but the 24 hour cancellation policy applies. That is, you may purchase and schedule the same day as long as they are not in violation of other policies.

What do I need on the day of my exam?
One form of government issued photo ID (i.e. driver’s license, passport)
You will be required to provide a means of photo identification before the exam can be launched. If acceptable proof of identification is not provided to the proctor prior to the exam, entry to the exam will be refused. You must also consent to having your photo taken. The ID will be used for identity verification only and will not be stored.

The proctor cannot release the exam to you until identification has been successfully verified and you have agreed to the terms and conditions of the exam. No refund or rescheduling is provided when an exam cannot be started due to failure to provide proper identification.

Please note that the presented international Passport or government issued form of identification must contain Western (English) characters.

How do I launch my exam? At what time should I arrive for my exam?
In order to launch the exam after it has been scheduled previously:
Visit www.examslocal.com
Click Sign In and enter login credentials
Click My Exams and click the green Launch button

You may start your exam up to 15 minutes before your scheduled start time. You MUST start your exam no later than 15 minutes after your scheduled start time. If you do not start your exam within 15 minutes of your scheduled start time, the system will automatically mark you as a No-Show and you will not be able to take your exam.

Will the proctor be able to access my computer or its contents?
PSI does not install any software on your computer for this exam and, therefore, does not have any access to your computer or its contents.

The only access PSI has to your computer is the webcam and desktop sharing facilitated by your web browser. However, please note that PSI does provide a virtual lockdown browser system that utilizes secure communications and encryption. Upon the completion of the exam all proctor “view-only access” is automatically removed.

How long do I have to complete the exam? When does the timer begin?
The times for your exam does not start until the exam has been launched by the PSI proctor. The length of the time for the exam is dependent upon the title. Please refer to the Cloudera website or your registration confirmation for more information.

When can I expect to receive the results to my exam?
The exam results are processed by Cloudera and communicated by Cloudera to you, the candidate, within 2-3 business days (all “days” reference US business hours, Pacific time)

If I fail the exam, how long must I wait to schedule the exam again?
If an attempted exam is failed, then you must wait 30 Days to schedule the exam again
